Terms and Conditions

Booking & Deposits
A deposit is required to secure a dual-control vehicle hire booking. The deposit amount will be confirmed at the time of booking and is used to reserve the vehicle exclusively for the agreed hire period.
By paying the deposit, you confirm ​that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
Unless otherwise stated, deposits are non-refundable, as the vehicle is removed from availability for the duration of your booking.

Final Payment
The remaining hire balance must be paid no later than 7 days before the hire start date, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
If full payment is not received by the due date, the booking may be cancelled and the deposit will not be refunded.

Cancellations & Refunds
- Deposits are non-refundable once a booking has been confirmed.
- If you cancel within 14 days of the hire start date, all fees paid will be forfeited.
- Refunds will not be issued for early return of the vehicle or unused hire days.
- In the unlikely event that KSM Dual Control Hire is unable to provide the agreed vehicle, you will be offered either:
-- A full refund of hire fees paid, or
-- An alternative vehicle or rescheduled hire period (subject to availability).

Vehicle Collection, Use & Return
Vehicles must be collected and returned at the agreed times and locations.
- Late returns may incur additional charges.
- The vehicle must be returned in a clean, roadworthy condition, with the same fuel level as at collection.
- The vehicle is to be used solely for driving instruction purposes and must not be used for private hire, delivery work, or non-instructional use.

Eligibility & Legal Requirements
To hire a vehicle, you must:
- Hold a valid UK driving licence.
- Hold a valid ADI or PDI badge where required.
- Meet insurance eligibility criteria as specified at booking.
Failure to meet these requirements may result in refusal of hire without refund.
You are responsible for ensuring compliance with all DVSA and legal requirements during the hire period.

Insurance, Damage & Liability
- The vehicle is insured subject to the terms of the insurance policy in place at the time of hire.
- You are responsible for any insurance excess, damage, penalties, or charges incurred during the hire period, including but not limited to:
-- Collision damage
-- Interior damage
-- Tyre, wheel, or glass damage
-- Parking fines, speeding fines, or congestion charges
Any damage must be reported immediately.

Breakdown & Maintenance
In the event of a mechanical issue or breakdown, you must notify KSM Dual Control Hire as soon as possible. No unauthorised repairs may be carried out without prior approval.
Where possible, a replacement vehicle may be offered, but this cannot be guaranteed.

Conduct & Termination
Unsafe, abusive, negligent, or inappropriate use of the vehicle may result in immediate termination of the hire agreement without refund.
KSM Dual Control Hire reserves the right to refuse or terminate hire at its discretion where safety or legal compliance is a concern.

Force Majeure & External Events
KSM Dual Control Hire is not responsible for cancellations, delays, or losses resulting from events beyond our control, including but not limited to adverse weather, road closures, DVSA actions, or mechanical failure.
No compensation will be offered for loss of earnings or consequential losses.

By making a booking and/or collecting a vehicle, you confirm acceptance of these Terms & Conditions in full.
